I am a creative and entrepreneurial nurse and business leader having founded and directed three companies, two in healthcare.

I currently work in Social Media advising companies in business and healthcare and blog at http://alihandscomb.blogspot.com/ and run #healthcarechat on twitter once a week Thursday GMT +1.

I am currently mentoring business in the North West both start ups and those wishing to branch out and coach and mentor nurses as well.

As Director of the European Nursing Leadership Foundation I led and devised leadership programmes across the UK and in Ireland.

I ran a podcast which was the most successful podcast for nursing on itunes.

I have managed and rolled out leadership development to over 40,000 nurses in England at the DoH NHS Leadership Centre.

I jointly led an e-learning programme in leadership which won the Institute of IT training Award for e-learning programme of the year in 2003. My masters thesis was written on getting clinical staff to access e-learning.
